The Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) founded in 1939, is the largest multi-sectoral, multi-disciplinary public research organization in Spain. It is the French CNRS equivalent. The CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas) supplies research capacity and human and material resources to undertake research projects, and also provides advisory scientific and technical support. The CSIC carries on its scientific work at more than 100 research institutes.
The Department of Economics at the Institute of Economics and Geography of the CSIC, is involved in many different economic research areas and has wide experience of economic research areas and has wide experience of contributing to EU actions and projects. Dr. Samir Mili is a Senior Researcher in this Department. His research focuses on the key developments in the organization and performance of the Agri-Food System. He has collaborated on many international projects including projects with the International Olive Oil Council.
