Team Leader Rachid Doukkali
The highly qualified staff (332 Professors
organized in 6 colleges) of the IAV Hassan II conducts
innovative researches in the fields of economics, natural
resources and environment, agronomy and horticulture, veterinary
medicine, agricultural and food technology, topography,
agricultural engineering, and agricultural Economics and
development.
Dr. Rachid Doukkali, who is coordinating
the Moroccan team, is a professor of applied economics
and chair of the Department of Social Sciences (DSH).
He has a large experience in agricultural policy, economic
modeling, agricultural prices analysis, and water management
policies. He conducted many projects on agricultural
trade, sector modeling, and development strategies. He
also served on the National Council of Agricultural Development
and participated in several studies and adisory committees
to the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture on issues related
to trade and agricultural policy. He is co-author of
the National Rural Strategy and the Agricultural Sector
Strategy of Morocco. Dr. Doukkali is also acting as vice-president
of the Moroccan Association of Agricultural Economics
since 1994.
