Team Leader Jean-Louis Rastoin

The Montpellier team on food systems involves professions from the Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique de Montpellier, French National Institute for Agricultural Resarch (INRA Montpellier), and other units. ENSA/INRA-Montpellier has a long history of research and education related to Mediterranean agriculture and especially to production and marketing of fruits and vegetables and processed foods. They lead task 2, which is the characterization of European agriculture related to fruits, vegetables, olive oil, and processed foods. They also participate in other tasks, especially those involving supply chain analyses. Several of the staff are involved, but Dr. Jean-Louis Rastoin and Dr. Jean-Claude Montigaud play lead roles in the project. Both have extensive experience related to these topics.
